It is indeed unlikely that I shall not be online at odd and sporadic intervals over the next week or so, but since various of my flist are disappearing over the horizon as if I'd started to sing, now is probably a good time to wish whomever may be left, on behalf of myself, the Countess, the cats, the Dowager Countess (whom I spent yesterday and today fetching from Lincolnshire) and all the many and various voices in my head, the best of whatever season you may call this, and an auspicious year in 2008.

Date: 2007-12-23 04:23 am (UTC)My favorite image of the season was yesterday when I went into the tiny place where I go for a spa pedicure once a month. They had a cute little Christmas tree all decorated to the nines and hanging just above and behind it, a lovely framed picture of Buddha. I teased the owner about it and we both grinned. "You church or temple?" the little Asian lady queried, cocking her head to one side. "Witch," I replied. She looked at me for a moment, her eyes widening. "I pray at home," I added. "Wiccan." She nodded, smiling. "I have altar at home too. More the same than different, huh?"
That is going to be my motto for the next year: "More the same than different, huh?"
