My favorite image of the season was yesterday when I went into the tiny place where I go for a spa pedicure once a month. They had a cute little Christmas tree all decorated to the nines and hanging just above and behind it, a lovely framed picture of Buddha. I teased the owner about it and we both grinned. "You church or temple?" the little Asian lady queried, cocking her head to one side. "Witch," I replied. She looked at me for a moment, her eyes widening. "I pray at home," I added. "Wiccan." She nodded, smiling. "I have altar at home too. More the same than different, huh?"
That is going to be my motto for the next year: "More the same than different, huh?"
