Today I sent off, just in time to get under the wire for the BBC's autumn scipt submission window, the first episode of my projected comedy series "Greetings From Hupzootnik." I've been keeping this one under the chapeau a little bit, after first mooting the idea here a while back--it's the one about aliens running the colonised Earth, Yes Prime Minister with tentacles, style of thing. It's not really very much like YPM, or like Red Dwarf either, but it's very me, so if they like it they might like other stuff that's me. Who knows. We'll see. But it feels good that I did it.

The joys of iPad ownership, number 27 in a series of several; getting updates on my apps. I don't know, it just feels nice, like a present from a stranger. When (for instance) a music app suddenly acquires a few extra voices, or MIDI capability, or something, it's like being given something for no reason. And that can feel good.

Not everything one gets given for no reason can feel good, of course. I have just such a thing partying in my bloodstream at the moment. Ho for the Lem-Sip capsules again, and roll on the flu jab.

And wish me luck with Hupzootnik.

Best of luck! I'd watch it (or listen to it if it were in the 6.30pm slot on Radio 4)

(Kindle owners, of course, get to thank Amazon from time to time for the gift of extra shelf-space)

Good luck! Sounds excellent.

I am suffering from severe iPad envy at the moment ... but it will have to wait, other things have higher priority ... still ... sigh ... and you make it make such beautiful music!

The very best of luck with the submission to the BBC. :)

And hope the LemSip stops whatever nasty thing is that is partying in your bloodstream.

Good luck with the script! Was it related to that little written "pilot" you posted in here of the government leader looking forlornly into the distance while ignoring the chatter all around him?

Yup, that's the opening scene.

Oops! Just realised I still haven't read your pilot script. =:o{ Well, good on you for not waiting for my response and just getting on with it. I wish it well on its journey.

Wonderful about sending in the script, and best of luck with it!

And I hope you are quite well by now.

Fingers crossed that the script is read by someone with a brain and an ear for dialogue. Alas, I don't know if the BBC employs anyone like that nowadays, but we can always hope that someone hid in the stationery cupboard for long enough to survive the last purge.

I too love the iPad. All my presentations in a package that weighs less than a bar of chocolate (well, at least, the size I carry) and also lets me write all day without a recharge.
