Unattractive, I know. I do apologise.

I haven't read Harlan Ellison's "The Beast That Shouted Love At The Heart Of The World," but I do remember thinking that he might not have to shout so much if he aimed for the ear instead. A lesson I seem to find it impossibly hard to learn myself: don't waste your time talking to that which cannot listen.

I am spending today with my partner, my brother, and my sister-in-law, wandering around a city I love in good weather, playing games, watching circus acts, eating good food, and possibly gathering later in my hotel room to make music.
