avevale_intelligencerIt seems that Cyan have stated that they will after all be releasing the source code for Uru Live to the fans, as they still do not have the resources to develop it themselves. So I've just spent a happy ten minutes or so looking back at the last few forum posts from my particular nemesis, in which he assures everyone with the absolute certainty of unshakeable arrogance that this will never happen. Sometimes, very, very rarely, it's actually nice to be right.
I will probably be happy about this when I know that it has actually happened. I, of course, wouldn't know what to do with source code if it stepped up to me and did the macarena, but I'm sure other people will, and it means that Uru will after all not die. But I'm still a bit burned out on the whole thing after the last disappointment (and the crowing thereupon of the aforementioned troll) and I'm not ready to put any trust in it right now.
It is a nice Christmas present, though.
