avevale_intelligencerSeveral importantish programmes will not open, and the only thing that can be causing it is my ticking a couple of boxes in regedit last night (which I then unticked again in an attempt to fix it). I don't see the logic, but then since computers run on quantum frodding physics I suppose I shouldn't expect them to be logical, should I?
Thank you to all those who have advised me that I should have backed up my registry files before I did this. If there were ever going to be another time, I would bear that in mind. As it is, stable door, horse, and if I kicked myself any harder I would be looking at the screen through the sole of my shoe.
I suppose I'll have to get a man in. Which given that the washing machine seems to have gone peculiar today as well is just spiffing.
