From the editorial of the latest DWM:
'A while back, some Harry Potter fans invented something called "Wrock"--or Wizard Rock to give it its full name. Basically it involved making up and singing songs about Harry Potter, and sharing the results on the internet. Since then, a Doctor Who fan called Alex Day has "invented" Trock ("Time Lord Rock," of course, d'you see?) which does the same thing for Doctor Who.'
And if you put four of them on each corner of a sledge* it moves much more easily when you drag it, even if there's no snow. I suppose someone ought to tell them...or maybe not, I mean why spoil their fun. (Looked at a couple of videos. They're not bad, actually. Hopefully they'll find their own way to us.)
Mind you, I can see why this hasn't occurred to Farscape fans.
In other news, I'm still adding stuff to the website (right here--check it out if you haven't), and I've been going through tweaking the look of the thing, increasing the text size to make it easier on the eyes and changing the link colours so that they aren't, say, dark blue on a black background. Unfortunately, my source for buttons and bars and such seems to have dried up, and there's nothing else as good out there. I might have to start learning to make the things myself. Still, I seem to see a general improvement. And it's easier than doing anything serious.
Jan had a very bad spell of leg pain this morning, so the doctor is coming to see her this afternoon, hopefully to up the pain medication. I have to go for my flu jab in a little while. The Red Cross wanted their wheelchair back, so I think we're going to have to steel (or aluminium) ourselves and get hold of one of our own. Life goes on.
EDIT: *obviously I mean *one* on each corner, not four on each corner, unless it's a really big articulated sledge for international freight draggage or something.
Flu jab obtained, so now I shall have flu. Pain meds upped, so hopefully that will help. Everything else as before.
