More on new format

Okay. Opinion seems to be roughly equally divided on the floaty boxes/still image. I kind of like it, so I think that will stay, for the moment. I've changed the colours away from purple, and I will try to come up with a less obtrusive/garish background image and a better solution to the problem of the title.

Further comments welcomed.

I'm more comfortable with the colours, definitely.

I take it the gothic-lettered title is part of the background image? Because it's too wide for my screen (and I'm on the big computer right now) and disappears under my navigation bar at the top when I am fully at the top of my page. It also disappears behind the floaty boxes. This doesn't look nice.

I think I could get used to the floaty boxes, however.

I didn't notice that the boxes were floaty with the original image. Now that I do see them, I find them somewhat disorienting (especially the way that they go over the title).

But in text-only browsers it is all perfectly readable and usable, which is a lot better than a lot of styles...
