1. Do you have the sheer unadulterated brass neck to answer these questions and post them as The Really Really Controversial Survey?
No, but since I'm the author, I don't have to.
2. Would you go and see Emerson Lake and Palmer if they were touring?
3. The Alan Parsons Project: for or against it?
4. Do you think Yes would fail without either Jon Anderson or Steve Howe?
5. Do you believe in death metal?
6. Do you wish Peter Gabriel and Genesis would get back together already?
7. Are you for or against the use of mandolins in prog rock?
8. Do you believe in Mike Oldfield?
9. Do you think eight keyboards is too many?
10. Do you think it's wrong that most decent rock music these days comes from Europe?
11. A folk singer has an electric guitar; should she play it?
12. Should the maximum level on amplifiers be lowered to nine?
13. Should the next revival of disco be called off?
14. Contrapuntal experimentation is unfashionable; do you agree?
15. Do you believe in air guitar playing?
16. Would you burn a bootleg CD for a million dollars?
17. Who do you think would make the better subject for a concept album, Obama or McCain?
18. Am I afraid others will judge me from reading some of these questions?
I'm counting on it. :)

Date: 2008-10-29 12:03 pm (UTC)2. Sure. Except, let me fix the question for you: Would you go and see Emerson Lake and Palmer again if they were touring? :-)
3. Definitely for. (Though it would be nice to know the betting line.)
4. Probably, unless Patrick Moraz were in the group at the time.
5. Hm. It'd make a great premise for a movie: a genre hit that you sing and the listeners die.
6. Not really. Their prior reunions were uninspiring. I do wish Mr. G would get his musical ass back in gear, though.
7. For.
8. If I don't, will he disappear like Tinkerbell almost did? Sure, I'll ring some chimes for him.
9. Only if they don't fit in the space allotted.
10. Let me measure and find out. In my current experience, a great deal of the decent music coming out these days is from the US.
11. Hey, look! Gender equality, only 43 years late!
12. Except when it's cranked to 11.
13. What do you mean, "next revival of disco"?
14. Let me get Bach to you on that.
15. Mostly. But when everyone else is doing it, I prefer to play air viola.
16. Pony up and let me show you :-)
17. Both are interesting stories. But I would tear my veins open at the wrist with my teeth if I had to listen to an album about McSame.
18. Judge away.
