And the beat goes on...

The builders who came to plaster on Monday were going to come back on Wednesday to put in the first layer of floor. They also said a manager would be coming to talk to us.
I happened to mention that the local paper were coming round that day (in connection with a totally unrelated matter, but I may have neglected to add that, tsk tsk).
Lo and behold, builders and manager duly appeared today (Tuesday). I have made it clear to the manager that we want and expect some tangible recognition on EverCRAPest's part that they have failed to provide the service for which we are paying, and that we are open to suggestions from their end. We'll see what they say.
In the meantime, the latest fuss on the US political scene is all about something that someone in the crowd shouted at one of the candidates' rallies, which might or might not refer to one of the other candidates, or might refer to someone that candidate knows slightly who was an idiot forty years ago.
It's amazing how easy it is to distract people from the issues. If I'd known that forty years ago, I'd have gone into politics myself. I'd probably have been PM at least twice by now.
