I've been clicking on various people's eggs, but I don't know if I'm doing anything or not. Repeated clicking doesn't seem to increase the number of clicks listed, so I may be doing it wrong. It's all very confusing, though I don't find it as irritating as some do.
The base of the conservatory seems to be complete. The actual thing will be put up next week, or so the guy says. The Countess has taken to calling it the bay window, having seen the size it's going to be; the fact that we couldn't have done anything bigger for a whole host of reasons (lack of money, lack of space in the garden, the fact that we'd have needed planning permission) have nothing to do with the fact that the numerous delays and the unnecessary damage the builders have done to the garden have pretty much spoiled it for her, and now it could never be good enough to be worth the distress, let alone the exorbitant price.
But once it's done, it'll be done, and we can get back to something like normality. And the extra space will be useful, and we will get more light in the house as a result, and presumably when we're both dead the value of the house that reverts to the government or whoever will be the greater. So that's all right.
A very nice lady from the Independent Living Centre has come and done a review of Jan's DLA. I'm seeing someone at the hospital every two weeks who may be of further help with the CFS, and there's something called the Richmond Fellowship which might help me get back into work. There's all sorts of maybes and hopefullys and so on. So I really have no reason to be as down as I am right now.

[1] This is simplistic. It seems to be on every connection to the page, but browsers tend to hold HTTP connections open whenever they can so it seems that you may have to close the browser in order for it to register as a separate view.

Feel free to use some cryptic and punning code to suggest what particular, ah, "documents" you would wish to review... (The nice thing about the largely static style of that particular type of, um, presentation is that they squash down rather well to fit on a single, ah, "sheet".)
Or you could just email me. =:o}
