I had this idea

But nobody would ever want to use it, even if it were workable, so here it is.
Asthmatics! Do you carry your inhalers loose in a pocket or a handbag? Have you ever wondered how many times that thing gets pushed up against something else in there and fires off into the cap, wasting a charge that could have saved you from an attack? I mean, you never know how many charges are left in that capsule till it suddenly runs out at the very worst moment, right? Well, here's the answer--new INHALER-LOK.
It's very simple. You'll notice that your aerosol capsule now has a flange on the upper end. Also, the plastic casing has been altered slightly, and the safety cap now has a projecting tab on it. When you put that cap on, the tab pushes a strut inside the casing that engages with the flange, and means that it is impossible to depress that capsule when the safety cap is on. No more wasted charges! Your inhaler will never fire unless you want it to. It'll last longer, giving you more assurance of relief when and where you need it, saving your health care provider money, and protecting the environment by reducing the number of inhalers made and sold. Sure, we'll lose some profit--but hey, it's the patient's needs that count. Of course, you could buy a fancy carrying case that makes the whole thing bulkier to lug around and harder to get at when your brain is starved of oxygen...but that would be idiotic, right?
INHALER-LOK from Nyrond Enterprises. Because you need it.

So is anyone making those things over there? I certainly haven't encountered them in the UK.
