Ear, ear, you'll like this...
Jun. 9th, 2008 06:01 pm...though possibly not a lot.
I went to see the duty nurse about this blocked feeling in my right ear, which is not responding to the ear drops and is having a far more drastic effect on my general well-being than I had envisaged.
Apparently my right ear is completely clear.
My left, on the other hand (not literally, you understand, I don't have an ear on my hand, that would be ridiculous), is badly blocked up.
"But that's the one I'm hearing through," I told the nurse.
"No it isn't," she said, with that serenity that comes of absolute conviction.
So I have to put the ear drops in the functioning ear, and if there's no change by the end of the week, go back and they'll have another look.
I suppose it is possible that in a moment of absent-mindedness I put my ears on the wrong way round. Or perhaps it's my brain that's in backwards. I wish someone would tell me these things.
And in the meantime, I continue (temporarily, please gods) half deaf.
Fah, as Londo would say. Also me, ray and doh.
Sympathies and good wishes, by the way, to those who have real problems, such as
filkertom who is in hospital and has had to punt his entire summer schedule.

And take 2000 extra points and a Gold Star for quoting Londo. I have finally watched the Lost Tales, and now I badly badly miss the B5 universe.
I do hope your ears start behaving STAT.:)
