Date: 2008-03-06 02:34 pm (UTC)There's a French street theatre group called "Transe Express" who came to Edinburgh some years ago, and a friend was in the group from the Edinburgh Samba School who performed with them. A year or so later they were invited to play in the New Year in Paris, and that time, instead of being dressed as soldiers, the performers were pirates!
(As well as dancing, they were swinging from gantries and trapezes stretched between the ship's masts)
