In which Gwen makes a truly stupid decision, clings on to it with hands and feet and teeth for absolutely no good reason despite everyone else involved trying to dissuade her, and thus ensures that the plot happens. Not sure in retrospect if anyone actually dies as a result, but once again date rape is committed on all participants except Torchwood themselves and Rhys, and this is portrayed as a happy ending. Oh, and Jack was married once, apparently.
Never has the authorial finger in the small of the back been more obvious or more emphatic. Also, its fingernail needs cleaning.

Date: 2008-03-08 01:13 pm (UTC)Partly it's because it's on at about the time I finally emerge from t'garret looking for Diversion. But there are many better diversions. No, I think, on consideration, that I take Torchwood's continued existence as an indication that no matter how badly my own creative endeavours might seem to be going, with luck and a following wind (and yes, knowing the right people in the business), you can get away with writing pretty much anything you bloody want to.
