Ghastliness
Sep. 12th, 2012 04:22 pmSo as far as I can tell (and this is all unreliable, like all other information on the net), here's what just happened...
Obama is currently ahead in the American presidential race. We come up to tfhe anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Centre and even that doesn't seem to be helping Mitt Romney. In the meantime, apparently, a pastor in Florida has been promoting a film which alleges that Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, was a child molester and extortionist, and, possibly as a consequence of this film going viral on Youtube, extremists of some sort or another attack the US Embassy in Libya, twice, on two successive days, and the second time they succeed in killing the Ambassador. Romney gets in quickly, before the White House has responded, with a statement criticising Obama for "sympathising with those who waged the attack." Needless to say, Obama's actual statement says nothing of the kind, but that's hardly relevant.
I am not a conspiracy buff. But this stinks to high heaven.
Maybe I'm overreaching when I suggest that the forces behind Bush would not have scrupled to use bin Laden to help cement their puppet's shaky grip on power, or that a few thousand lives would mean nothing to them, or that their chief ally in covering this up would be the refusal of the American people to believe such evil. I could be wrong about that.
But leaking a provocative video to a hate group in Libya, knowing that they would respond violently, doesn't matter how as long as Americans die? Can anyone doubt that the current Republican leadership would do that in a hot second, if they thought it would help them recapture America from the forces of moderation and fairness? They already lie, cheat, defraud the electorate and condone anti-abortion atrocities. It's just one more step.
If I'm wrong, I apologise from the bottom of my heart. If I'm right, I hope to gods someone finds out.
