May. 19th, 2009 05:11 pmGary Trudeau, creator of Doonesbury, remarks of certain journalists who have taken to Twittering that they are so taken with the idea of a "personal broadcasting system" that they aren't much bothered about the fact that they don't have anything meaningful to broadcast. (I can't remember the actual quote or where I saw it, so if I have something wrong I apologise.)
While I don't Twitter, this does pretty much describe yer umble when it comes to blogging. I just realised that I'm sitting here looking for something to post about. I don't have any song ideas, the Lulu projects are still stalled (the Angel Island info was interesting and will help, but I still don't seem to have enough fuel to make orbit, or even lift off), Mrs Curbinand is still dead, there's nothing that I trust myself to be waspish about, and we aren't doing anything interesting. So here I am posting about having nothing to post about. Because I miss the act of posting? Because I need comments to convince me that I'm real? Because it saves me having to do the more difficult writing? Because it's that or go do housework?
Probably that last one. Ho for the sink, then.
