Primeval:
Dear James,
As I write this I'm about to die in the bombed-out remains of the ARC. I'm not particularly happy about this. About the only consolation I have is the fact that neither you, with whom I've worked for three years, nor the woman I loved and lost and was just starting to love again, could tell the difference, even with all the clues in front of you, between me and a half-witted clone of myself created by my mad dead wife. That's how much impact I had on you all. When you look at it that way, dying seems quite appealing.
My mad dead wife thinks that if she doesn't kill me I'll help you create the future predators who destroy the human race, which only goes to show she doesn't know me that well either. Oh, I know you're capable of it, but I think there may be just a tiny spark of humanity somewhere inside that would stop you even if I didn't. So watch out, James. Watch your back. There are people less human than you looking to take control of the ARC, and by killing me, Helen just made that a whole lot more feasible. Sometimes it really gets me down, how stupid clever people can be.
Speaking of which, you'll have to rely on Connor now. He's a good lad, but if he thinks you think he's stupid he'll play that for all it's worth. Don't give him the chance. He needs to be kept up to the mark. Abby will help.
Okay, time to go. Try not to let the monsters take over the world. And you know I'm not talking about the dinosaurs, right?
Professor Nick Cutter
P.S. James, I must just tell you this. The secret of the anomalies is
