It's international book week*. The rules: Grab the closest book to you, turn to page 52, post the 5th sentence. Don't mention the title. Copy the rules as part of your post.

"After all, she thought with a tight little grin, she might need to bribe them herself some day."

It's nice to know your own books are still close to you! :)
So they are to me:
Eight Man Austin.
(Or isn't it a quiz? :) )

May all who hurt find healing on this day.

I'm very glad of that serendipity.

Darn. I packed all my books last night. Oh wait, there's still something on the shelf which one could argue is a book:

"SEELBACH, BROCK: Annual 4; Attendance Office 3."

The book in my hands at the moment says this on the fifth sentence of p52:

"Jeremy Thorpe, about whom there were persistent rumours of skullduggery in his successful campaign for the Presidency of the Oxford Union, was at least honest."

Not my normal fare but I picked it up in an Oxfam shop the other day.
