Prolonged whinge

avevale_intelligencerNothing like looking back over eight years of contentious, repetitive, tedious bloggage to give one perspective. There are some good bits in there, but passing few, and I notice an increasing tendency to repeat myself without realising it.
I tried to write a bit on the Miss USA "should evolution be taught in schools" video, but I foundered under the weight of the utter triviality and staleness of anything I might find to say.
I thought about starting the "story a day" thing again for July, but missed the deadline.
Slugs are steadily denuding the beans that were doing so well, and I can't find the buggers. We've got copper tape, but if they're already in the pots there's no point.
And it's still too frodding hot. I take a bath, and by the time I'm dry I'm just as sweaty and horrible as I was before I got in. And Jan is hurting. And so am I.
Going back to bed is starting to look like the most useful thing I can do.
