"Perception filter" is obviously this series shorthand for "idiot plot." You know, that example of very, very bad writing in which the story doesn't work unless one or more of the characters are completely stupid because the author isn't clever enough to plot properly?

So far this series we've had two glaringly obvious things that the characters should have noticed explained away with "perception filters." In four episodes. Half the plots of this series so far don't work unless the characters are too stupid to see something obvious. Any bets on how many more?
