The Mrs Curbinand story has gone into a hole in the skirting board and I am currently kneeling in an extremely uncomfortable posture in front of the hole, waving tasty bits of story food and making improbable chirruping noises in the hope of enticing it out.

I may have to resort to the time-honoured device of WSE (Writing Something Else) to get it to come back. But I do know where Mrs C is going and it will continue. Eventually. Sorry about this.

I think all of us who know authors and other creative people know that situation. And the technique of doing Something Else to let it come out of its hole.

Knowing you, I'm sure the Something Else will be worth it in its own right...
