A passing thought
May. 13th, 2011 01:07 pmIf one's Auntie Ivy turned up unexpectedly, and one discovered that one's best beloved had been notified of this event by letter and had failed to pass on the information, one would be justified in asking why not.
I wonder, would the answer "It would have been wrong to use my knowledge of the future to interfere with your personal timeline" cut any ice?
(Note--this is not based on any real event whatsoever. I don't even have an Auntie Ivy. It was just a thought, and nothing at all to do with anything I might have missed seeing on telly.)
