Been clearing out the glory hole and the utility room, preparatory to using it as a storeroom for the furniture from the dining room, for the past few days, so today I had a day off.
Tomorrow EverCRAPest are supposed to be "sorting out" the handrail for the steps, which is the last actual thing to add to the conservatory. I fully expect that "sorting out" in this case means elementary measuring that could just as well have been done last week by the guys who put the steps in, and that it will be another week at least before the handrail is actually done. At which point we come to the part where they demand another two thousand pounds from us and we laugh in their faces.
I'm quite happy with what I've done on the site, but I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to (a) run out of immediately available things to add and (b) feel that I really ought to be doing something serious, like another story or something. I am not doing NaNo, obviously--no point even trying, though I could probably manage NaShWriD if it existed--and I don't have any ideas to hand (which in itself shows how far down I've gone), but there's an urge there. We'll see.
