Hmmmmm

The pleasure of reading scholarly books about sf/fantasy TV series is somewhat tempered by the discovery that the author has not actually paid sufficient attention to the show they're writing about to get the names of the actors right. The role of Zhaan in Farscape was played by Virginia Hey, not Veronica. (cf. "Investigating Farscape," by Jes Battis, or possibly Joe Bottles.)

Rhonda Wilcox, famed Buffy scholar, hasn't quite sunk to that level, but there are in her book "Why Buffy Matters" two fairly minor points with which I feel the urge to take issue. ( Spoilers for Buffy season 5 and Angel season 4 onwards... )

Of course, I'm still not sure what "diegetic" means, except that it probably isn't a kind of biscuit...
