Harry Potter and the Googly Mooglies

Got it, slammed through it, not sure what i think of it yet. It seems to me that while, yes, we should honour JKR for writing seven books that lots of people want to read (and i have always maintained that being popular and successful, while not the only way to be good, is *a* way to be good and should not be sneered at despite the strictures of pretentious snobs who only admit to liking something if hardly anybody else does), at the same time that should not affect one's judgment on the actual book one way or the other.

So when i have a judgment, i will lovingly enrobe it in a specially hand-selected lj-cut and offer it for the consideration of those who are no longer concerned about spoilers.

Meantime, feeling slightly sick-headachey, so to bed. Tomorrow is another flamdangle.
