Feb. 7th, 2006 07:58 amOkay, it's 10:53. The man who was going to make our fire his first job this morning has not as yet put in an appearance. Not that I'm complaining...I still have twenty-three days of annual leave left, and any day I can laze around the house is not in my opinion wasted...but I might just give him a little tinkle in another hour or so's time on the general theme of "Oi!" He's been snarky enough when he called early one morning and we were still in bed and didn't hear him.
In better news, Corpse Bride arrived today from Amazon, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
axylides. I've peeked at the extras (which she generally doesn't go for much) and been a bit disappointed that in all the raving about Tim Burton single-handedly bringing life back to the field of stop-motion animation nobody mentioned Aardman once (even though they'd already done their bit of life-bringing with Chicken Run; somebody might have mentioned that, especially given the number of Brits who worked on Corpse Bride...). It will be interesting to see if Nick P and the guys are as, um, forgetful when Curse of the Were-Rabbit comes out. Still, I have a lot of time for TB. Proof if proof were needed that you do not need shiny clean shoes and a spanking short haircut to make a success of your life. (You just need to be a genius. Oh well.)
