A long felt want
Jan. 11th, 2005 04:42 pmMany years ago, when I was just graduating from comics to real books with paragraphs in, a friend at primary school lent me a book. I enjoyed it very much, and borrowed it from him several times, and when we went our separate ways I looked for it in second-hand bookshops and market stalls, without success. For forty years, on and off.
Today, thanks to Abebooks and The Old Bookshelf in Campbelltown, I have that book. Resurgent Dust by Rolf Garner, aka Bryan Berry. A slightly fragile-looking paperback, but with all its pages still attached and Joan the Wad ads on the inside covers. Much joy, as Lexin would say. Possibly even squee.
