I feel your pain. But what's kept me coming back to TWW is the ensemble acting. The fire and music of Sorkin's best writing is gone, but Sheen and Spencer? Janney, and Whitford, and Schiff? Actors' actors, all of them. Their commitment to their craft can frequently transmute the rather pedestrian material of John Wells into something luminous. That's why I still watch.
And the season finale had me standing and cheering, screaming "YES! YES!! YES!!!!" at my poor, startled television. My neighbors must have thought I was having a really good time :)
