I went the other direction, I was certain my parents wanted a girl and my mom let me play in her dresses in private and a few times with another girl (who was a tomboy, so we practiced role reversal). About 4th grade (10) that stopped, and then I was confused. Eventually I got cissed, and played some boys sports but not much and not well.
Most of the times in my adult life when I wished I were a woman were very down times and also there was crap in the news which made me feel ashamed to be male (rapes, wars, stuff like that). But the older I got, the more comfortable I was in my skin, although I still fight gender role stereotypes. I think I like "non-binary" as a choice.
