Life is just one long merry-go-round ride and I want to be sick

So here I am, back at work for three weeks, and I open my payslip and what do I see?

I see that my line manager has not filled in a form that he should have filled in. Consequently Payroll do not know that I have come back. Consequently I will not be paid tomorrow for any of the work I’ve done this month. Consequently…well, you get the idea.

Human Resources are “seeing if there’s anything they can do.”

Give me a sword, somebody.

Ah, no. A sword would be entirely not painful enough. Use a spoon on him/her/them... it hurts more...

Of vilify the villain in verse - they should surely quake at such a prospect?

Allegedly sorted...

I may get a Giro tomorrow, assuming something else doesn't go horribly avocadoid. The story now is that the form was done, but got lost somehow, which diffuses the accountability nicely in standard Civil Service fashion.

Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth, though.

We may not make it to the SWiGGLe, for a number of reasons. If we don't, apologies to all and we'll see you as and when.

*hugs* What a mess! Hope they actually get this sorted out for you. Missing a payday is a huge pain.

Grrrr.... [DOES THE MR. STOMPY GLOWER]
They *will* reimburse you for any extra expense & compensate you for any inconvenience resulting from their failure to pay you on time. Or else. Don't settle for less. Be polite, but firm. With gritted teeth if necessary.
