This lady has a condition which will not reduce to the kind of information which I was talking about, the ticking-boxes reduce-to-numbers kind on which our bureaucracy runs. To be assessed properly by the benefits system, she needs a different kind of interaction, the kind which is now not only no longer used, but which was actively discouraged during the Countess's and my time working for the system, and which I would imagine has now all but died out there. There are logical reasons why this has happened, which I go into in my comment to H's post.

she's lucky - she has been assessed and gets a PA

I'm transexual and I can not and WILL NOT be assessed, nor can varies transexual friens, nor have we for over 10 years of trying to be assessed - and yes I know that's illegal but its the practice of Oxfordshire social service to refer transexuals to the mental health team for assessment, the mental health team refer all cases involving transexual to charring cross- NO MATTER THE REASON. Charring cross then do not reply or do not respond - because it has nothing to do with them and the GP has not referred the transexual for assessment and treatment of their transexuality and besides being you cannot be transexual AND mentally ill. All treatment for transexuality will be blocked until the mental illness has been treated.

Thus we cannot get a care plan, we cannot get support and because this is an open post i cant talk anymore
