Time to make an announcement

Anyone who's visited my Bandcamp page will have seen a work in progress thereon entitled "The Filk Of Human Kindness - Futeurised." (sic--think about it)

This is indeed the long-contemplated reimagining of my first filk tape, and I hope to have it completed in time for FilkContinental. It will contain, mostly, the same songs, with some exceptions. Most of the songs have brand new arrangements, a couple have new words, a couple will be completely new, and there will be bonus tracks. And yes, it's sung entirely by me, in my voice. Sorry about that.

Bandcamp don't do physical CDs, so it will be download only for the present. I do have tentative plans to get it out in shiny beermat form, but that will probably not be this year. At least you won't be paying extra for shipping.

In the meantime, Talis will be putting out at least some of "Ancient Sky/The Toad" on her Bandcamp page, and there's still "Blow For Freedom" and "To The Landing" on mine if you're interested in nurdly little tunes with no vocals.

And a new album, "Owls," will be out some time next year.

So, creative stuff happening.

This lady has a condition which will not reduce to the kind of information which I was talking about, the ticking-boxes reduce-to-numbers kind on which our bureaucracy runs. To be assessed properly by the benefits system, she needs a different kind of interaction, the kind which is now not only no longer used, but which was actively discouraged during the Countess's and my time working for the system, and which I would imagine has now all but died out there. There are logical reasons why this has happened, which I go into in my comment to H's post.
