Torchwood finished

Much relief.

I don't know whether the thoughts evoked by a certain image indicate something deeply disturbed in RTD or in me. I do know I shouted "GET ON WITH IT!" rather more times than I normally do in the course of a television drama. I've never watched anything deliberately which so thoroughly succeeded in making me not care what happened to any of its characters.

And the answer to the obvious question is: Because Jan wanted to.

May they take as long as they need before doing another one. Really. I don't mind waiting.

Oh yes, it was SO slow. The pacing was awful. I'm afraid that both Torchwood and Dr Who are not working for me this season. It's sad because it's hard to trun me off a show.

Oh well, Castle starts up again on Monday, besides all that I'm going to be to busy for TV anyway since I'm going back to school.

Interesting, do I want to know which image? But yes, slow in too many places (almost "Star Trek: The Motionless Picture" level of slowness).

Hmm, I cared about Esther, she's cute *g*. But all of the others came over as too 'shouty', I felt that some episodes hadn't been written with any lower-case. And there was a lot of unexplained behaviour which seemed just stupid (in Esther's case it was understandable, she was very much an innocent, but the others have all been in the field enough). Or perhaps that everyone was acting as an individual not as part of a team.

I blame the writer, I got the impression the actors did what they could with what they had.

But at least I disliked it less than I did "Children of Earth", that was a total trainwreck as far as I was concerned.

(I was going to give up on it at season 2, but Freema was in it. Is it the programme or me being shallow that I watch it for the cute girls? *g*)

Ho hum. Eventually I'll find time to watch both last week's episode and this week's - I have them both on tape, but just don't seem to be able to find time. All this commuting back and forth to Wimbledon eats into my days...

Sorry about that. Any sign of your flat becoming habitable any time soon?

I am currently twiddling my fingers (moderately productively, I'm proofreading!) waiting for the promised dehumidifier to arrive. Actually, I think I'm going to phone them if it hasn't come by 3 o'clock - I have other things I'd like to do today! (Like taking another 3 tubs of yarn to be placed in Adrienne's protective custody...)
