First impressions
New music: naff. May grow on me, but I doubt it.
New title sequence: logo fine on black background but illegible against vortex. Not impressed with forethought there.
New Doctor: Tennant with added Tigger (has child not read Milne?). Less working-class, but still not Time Lord.
New companion: Not from London, which is a plus. Again they've found one with a mind of her own, unlike all the previous ones. Why is a woman with a mind of her own supposed to be so strange? BARBARA had a mind of her own.
New TARDIS: better, but still doesn't look like a place anyone would choose to live.
Pre-owned plot: Girl in Fireplace crossed with Smith and Jones. Nothing new here. And again, "I'm the Doctor" and they run. The rest of the episodes are going to be quite short if that's all it takes.
Overall: not convinced. But will probably keep watching for a few episodes at least. Cue entire flist not being surprised. :\
Oh, and...I was right, wasn't I?

You always felt like the earlier Doctors were strolling back into the control room, from having had a good breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the lawn, sort of thing. In fact, it was one of the things I really like about the USA one, that Sylvester McCoy was so clearly _living_ a comfortable life in the TARDIS.
I always looked out for the new assistant going off and coming back with a previous assistant's clothes and stuff, from the many rooms and cupboards. That sort of stuff was always there. I think it was Lala/Romana that dressed in Victoria's long white nighty...
And the Cloister Bell has always had a cloister, in my head. :-)
I've always understood utterly, the TARDIS has all this going on, but the BBC couldn't afford to build the sets. :-) Hence it taking it to the USA, before they had the budget to even suggest part of it. :-)

The new one is less grotty than its predecessor, though, which is a step up.
