I don't know who in your flist is like that, no one I saw in mine said anything of the sort (LJ won't let me go back that far to see if I skipped any) and I suspect that if they did I'd either flame them or drop them from the list (or from a great height into a deep pit with rats in it). Most of the ones I saw were rather upset about it (personally, I rather liked D. but felt that his death was fitting and probably necessary, and almost certainly less painful than dying of old age and ailments).
